This vintage was made by Gérard Liot, a local Champenois who joined the family-owned house of Bollinger in 1969 and retired as chef de caves in 2004. His Bollinger Vieille Vignes Françaises 1992 is legendary, but this Grande Année 1992 is a slow developer and could even be the greater wine in the long run. It is 30% Chardonnay and 70% Pinot Noir.
Bollinger is one of the rare Grande Marque houses to be owned, controlled and managed by the same family since it was founded in 1829.Bollinger is renowned for its stringent quality standards.
